I agree with another post in that I can't give this a five star. It is a good book but I am not happy in the fact that as soon as I started reading it I knew I had already read it. As I looked into it I saw it had earlier been published under another title. I think it is very unfair to customers to think they are getting a new story to find it has already been a published book. This has happened with this author's books before. I really like this author but I don't like being dubbed into thinking I am getting a new story to find out I have already read it. I will be very careful from now on before buying her books.

Colleen does it again with a great storyline and believeable characters. The suspense factor kept you reading as well as the relationship between the characters. I kept saying just one more page and put it down instead I read the book in almost one sitting! Another 5 star novel for Killeen Coble!
It's amazing how people's minds get warped when terrible things happen to the ones they love. I can't imagine what it's like to lose your memory...especially when you desperately need to remember your history. Colleen Coble does a great job of keeping you guessing until the end. Lots of twists and turns keep you turning to the next page, not wanting to put down the book.
I have like Coble's previously read Rock Harbor stories. This story is no disappointment. The development of the plot leaves the reader with many questions about who the perpetrator and builds strong bonds with the victims and main characters Bree, Naomi and Kade. I have not been disappointed in this book!
The monster in the book is so vicious, that I would not recommend that anybody read this! He not only kills several women, he cuts off body parts. This book should be banned, so that some mentally ill person will not get ideas for horrendous murders!
I love Coble's books. This did not disappoint. They feel like they are getting a little more gruesome. Personally I don’t care for that. I don’t mind mystery, and suspense but I don’t like to be scared. I was almost there in this novel. Knowing that, I would still recommend it. All her books are hard to put down and I like being familiar with some of the characters. A very good read.
Wow! From the very start of the book, this story stole my breath and at times sped up the beating of my heart. The ending was so climatic I couldn’t read it fast enough! The setting is the UP of Michigan. There is a woman who cannot remember who she is, the name of the child in her arms, or that she has been badly hurt! At first, she moves almost on auto pilot, but she cannot tell why or how she knows what she must do to keep “him” from finding her again. After some more time, she remembers her name, and with more time her past.
Her husband, Nick, is a captain for the Michigan State Police, and he and his wife are in the middle of a divorce. When he goes to pick up his little girl, the scene he encounters scares him. He cannot locate either his wife or 2-year-old daughter. After a while, he begins to be taunted by a person who has had something to do with his wife and child’s disappearance or death.
Through a wonderfully written tale, readers become enraptured with the characters like Bree and Naomi along with their search and rescue dogs or the sister of Eve, who has amnesia, and the family she can’t remember even though she must be ready to go to court to fight for her daughter to remain with her. There is so much going on in the book though it isn’t hard to follow at all; it is just the opposite. It really drew me in and wouldn’t let me go! I was up till 230 a.m. reading the book. The ending so caught me by surprise I wondered why I didn’t see it coming!
Colleen’s books are wonderfully written. They include faith, romance, danger, mystery, adventure, and more! I have yet to be bored by one of her books. I look forward to when her next book is published and will grab it at the first opportunity to read and then share it with a friend. Books allow us to enjoy a fictional place for a while as well as learn from the characters how faith can be tested and put into action.
So, pick up a copy and read till the very last page that will fill you with joy and hope!
So angry. I've always loved Colleen Coble but I feel like I've been hoodwinked! I was excited to pre-order a book from her but I will never do that again. This was another book of hers ("Abomination")and it's been re-titled! And of all books it was my least favorite. It was somewhat grisly--which is why I remembered it, and didn't care for it. I love her other books but to do this to a loyal fan--it's like a betrayal.
